Assisted Lymphatic Therapy
Gentle Support for Circulation, Detoxification & Whole-Body Balance
Your lymphatic system plays a vital role in moving waste, toxins, and excess fluid out of the body—but unlike other systems, it doesn’t have a pump.
Assisted Lymphatic Therapy uses gentle, rhythmic pulses to stimulate lymph flow, helping your body clear stagnation and restore healthy circulation. This non-invasive therapy works in harmony with your body, offering support without force or intensity.
Who This Work Supports
You may benefit from Assisted Lymphatic Therapy if you’re experiencing:
Swelling or fluid retention
Lymphedema
Edema
Lyme Disease
Auto Immune Illness
Puffiness or inflammation
Fatigue or low energy
Brain fog or sluggishness
A feeling of heaviness or stagnation
Slower recovery after illness or stress
Many clients are simply looking to feel lighter, clearer, and more in flow within their bodies.
What to Expect in a Session
Sessions are deeply relaxing and require no effort on your part.
Using a specialized FDA-approved medical device, gentle pulses are applied across the body to encourage movement of lymph fluid. The sensation is typically soothing and rhythmic, allowing the nervous system to settle while the body begins to shift and release.
Clients often leave feeling both calm and energized.
Why Lymphatic Support Matters
When lymph flow is sluggish, the body may struggle to efficiently clear waste and regulate inflammation.
By supporting the lymphatic system, Assisted Lymphatic Therapy can help:
Encourage detoxification
Reduce swelling and fluid retention
Support immune function
Improve circulation
Promote a greater sense of overall balance
A Complement to Digestive & Detox Work
The lymphatic system and digestive system are closely connected.
Many clients choose to combine Assisted Lymphatic Therapy with colon hydrotherapy (see our Deep Cellular Cleanse) for a more comprehensive approach to detoxification and internal balance.
This integrated approach can help the body process and release more efficiently.
A Gentle, Holistic Approach
This work is not about forcing change—it’s about supporting your body’s natural intelligence.
Sessions are tailored to your comfort level and needs, creating space for gradual, sustainable shifts over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that uses a specialized medical device to encourage healthy lymphatic flow. By supporting your body's natural ability to clear congestion and reduce inflammation, ALT helps create the conditions your body needs to heal and thrive.
-
Manual Lymphatic Therapy uses the practitioner's hands to gently clear stagnant fluid from the superficial lymphatic system — the layer closest to the skin. ALT goes further, reaching the deeper lymphatic system including the body's organs. It also works significantly faster: one ALT session can be the equivalent of 8 to 10 manual lymphatic therapy sessions
-
Sessions are typically one hour, though they can sometimes run about 15 minutes longer depending on your individual needs.
-
Please arrive freshly showered and free of any lotions, creams, or deodorant, as these can interfere with the treatment. Staying well hydrated in the days leading up to your session is also helpful.
-
ALT is not recommended for those with active infections or fever, hemorrhages, blood clots or deep vein thrombosis, seizures, major cardiac conditions, kidney failure, a pacemaker, or during pregnancy. If you have any of these conditions or are unsure, please reach out before booking and we can discuss whether ALT is right for you.
-
Clients often report feeling deeply relaxed, less puffy, and lighter after a session. You may also notice more frequent urination in the hours following — this is completely normal and a sign that your body is eliminating the fluid that was released during treatment.
-
This depends on where you're starting from. For someone in generally good health who wants to clear and maintain their lymphatic system, 6 to 10 sessions is a typical starting point. For those dealing with a health condition involving significant lymphatic congestion, somewhere between 10 and 30 sessions may be needed. One session can offer noticeable relief, but it's important to understand that lasting results come from a committed course of treatment — not a single visit.
-
Some of the areas where clients have experienced meaningful benefit include:
Detoxification and tissue regeneration — as toxins are cleared, the body's natural healing processes are better able to do their work
Edema and lymphedema — including both primary and secondary lymphedema, with fluid reabsorption supported at a cellular level
Immune system support — increased lymph flow carries more antigens to the lymph nodes, which can be particularly helpful with chronic inflammatory conditions including autoimmune disease, sinusitis, bronchitis, arthritis, and skin conditions like acne and eczema
Chronic fatigue and chronic pain — by relieving tissue fluid stagnation and reducing pressure on pain receptors, ALT can offer significant relief
Stress, sleep, and nervous system regulation — ALT supports the parasympathetic nervous system (your "rest and digest" mode) while calming the fight-or-flight response, making it helpful for stress, depression, and sleep difficulties
Muscle tension and digestive complaints — voluntary and involuntary muscle spasms are reduced, which can be beneficial for conditions like constipation
Scarring and skin health — scar tissue, stretch marks, and surgical incision sites often show improvement with regular treatment
